Accounting Transformation Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Accounting Transformation Manager to join the Corporate Accounting Team in Plano, Texas. This role is ideal for a versatile accounting professional who can contribute across multiple areas, including accounting/finance transformation, process improvement, system implementations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting, coupled with experience in process optimization.

Responsibilities:

Finance Transformation & Process Improvement:

• Evaluate, document, and optimize financial processes and workflows.
• Streamline and optimize financial processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Partner with various teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Accounting Operations & Reporting Support:

• Assist in financial reporting and analysis.
• Partner with internal and external auditors and assist with compliance efforts as needed.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, working alongside the accounting and finance teams.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and financial trends.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:

• Work closely with leadership to align accounting transformation efforts with broader business objectives.
• Facilitate meetings, presentations, and reporting for senior accounting/finance management.
• Prioritize tasks and initiatives to support both strategic and operational accounting and finance goals.

Qualifications: 

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters preferred.  CPA required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with 3-5 years of people management and leadership.
• Knowledger of GAAP, SEC and Sarbanes Oxley compliance
• Public accounting experience and publicly listed company experience required
• Experience in documenting and analyzing business processes and workflows.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial systems (e.g., ERP systems, D365, BI tools).
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
