Tyler’s Public Administration Marketing team is seeking a marketing intern to join our team this summer! As a Public Administration Marketing Intern, you will experience the day-to-day operations of a successful marketing team supporting an S&P 500 company. If you have a passion for marketing and collaboration in a team environment, this internship is for you! The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of marketing best practices, effective time management, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Write and proofread various short- and long-form marketing deliverables, including but not limited to flyers, brochures, videos, scripts, social posts, and ads
  • Use sound judgement on image selection for digital, print, and social campaigns
  • Write, edit, and review strategic, product-focused email communications for client audiences
  • Analyze results of email campaigns and generate reports
  • Help maintain a master campaign calendar for strategic programs, including Tyler’s Maine App Challenge
  • Collaborate with cross-functional marketing team members on content and collateral as part of larger campaigns and initiatives
  • Assist with various marketing activities, including campaigns, events, list management, research, and presentations
  • Adherence to AP writing style

Qualifications

  • Currently an active college student pursuing a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related discipline
  • Coursework completed in at least two college courses in marketing or related discipline
  • Intellectual curiosity and an ability to understand the client’s perspective
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (strong Excel or PowerPoint skills a plus)
  • Effective time management skills (deadline/results-driven)
  • Strong writing abilities and interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with AP writing style
