As a Supervisory Team Lead, Cloud Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of CloudOps engineers, ensuring smooth operations, fostering innovation, and driving strategic technical initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise and mentor a team of CloudOps engineers, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that promotes innovation, efficiency, and best practices in cloud operations.
  • Coordinate team efforts to optimize cloud infrastructure and improve service delivery.
  • Ensure team adherence to DevOps best practices, security protocols, and compliance requirements.

Project & Strategy Execution

  • Oversee project planning and execution to align cloud operations with business goals and technical roadmaps.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management regarding infrastructure improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in architectural decisions, guiding teams on best practices in cloud infrastructure design and implementation.

Technical Oversight & Hands-On Contributions

  • Review technical work, including infrastructure as code (IaC), automation scripts, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Assist with complex troubleshooting, offering technical expertise to resolve operational challenges.
  • Guide cloud security and compliance efforts, ensuring infrastructure meets organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, security, and IT, to optimize cloud operations.

Who We’re Looking For:

Leadership & Management Experience

  • Proven experience leading and mentoring teams in cloud operations, DevOps, or a related technical field.
  • Strong ability to manage team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and drive high performance.
  • Experience in project planning and execution, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of cloud-related initiatives.

Technical Expertise

  • Cloud & DevOps Experience – Minimum 4 years in cloud-focused DevOps, CloudOps, or software engineering roles, preferably in AWS.
  • CI/CD & Automation – Strong background in implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Proficiency with Terraform (required), CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Kubernetes & Container Orchestration – Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
  • Monitoring & Security – Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog and best practices for securing cloud environments.

Soft Skills & Mindset

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to analyze challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.
