A Complete Solution for Capturing Data Using Your
Mobile Device

Public safety officers, caseworkers, regulatory inspectors, and other government workers need to record information away from the office, but gathering data in the field can be difficult and inaccurate. Data Collect Mobile is a digital alternative to disconnected and non-secure paper case files, notes, and other field operation tools these workers have used in the past. It capitalizes on the built-in capabilities of mobile phones and tablets to record information accurately, completely, and with verifiable, ironclad security.

  • Gather data anywhere with a mobile device

  • Replace paper files with searchable digital information

  • Securely upload data to the AWS GovCloud

  • Work offline and sync automatically for uninterrupted productivity

Streamline Field Data Collection

Data Collect Mobile allows you to open a case file and then use your device’s native functionality to add pertinent information directly to the file.

  • Camera and video capabilities create a visual record
  • The keypad enables users to type notes
  • Speech-to-text functionality captures voice notes or interview content
  • Entries are automatically tagged with GPS, address, weather, date, and time stamps

File Complete Reports From the Field

With Data Collect Mobile, personnel can file complete, detailed reports directly from the field. The data is uploaded in real time to the secure AWS GovCloud, including automatic transcription of audio notes and recordings. Speech-to-text is ten times faster than handwriting. No need to return to the office for report filing; the app works offline, and uploads data once reconnected. Back-office inspection tasks appear as assignments in the mobile app. All data is encrypted during transit using SSL (TLS1.2) with FIPS-140-2 compliance.

Update Incident Records Remotely

Data Collect Mobile gives public safety officers the ability to connect the multimedia collected with case reports or incidents. This means digital evidence moves seamlessly from the front-line officers collecting it, directly into the records environment to be found and easily viewed. Plus, evidence and incident numbers are automatically transferred to Enterprise Public Safety applications for easy accessibility by fire and police.

Capture Inspection Details Easily

Regulatory inspectors can use Data Collect Mobile to open a case file and then use their device’s camera or video capabilities to document any pertinent aspects of the inspection. They can enter notes via the keypad or with speech to text, and add as many photos, notes, and other entries as they wish. Each entry is automatically tagged with GPS, address, weather, date, and time stamps, all of which can be configured to the regulatory organization’s needs.

Enhanced Security

The Data Collect Mobile application is designed to protect the captured data in transit and at rest. Security features include:

  • Secure container on the mobile device
  • Hosted on AWS GovCloud (U.S.) and AWS Canada
  • Encrypted data in transit using TLS 1.2
  • Encrypted data at rest using AES-256 encryption
  • Audit history

Versatile and Integrated Mobile Functionality

Data Collect Mobile is a platform that seamlessly integrates with various Tyler Technologies offerings including Tyler's Enterprise Public Safety applications, State Regulatory Platform suite, and Criminal Justice Information System application. It can also be used with many non-Tyler systems.
