Digital Counties Survey Winners
November 18, 2020 by Heather Daniels
The Center for Digital Government (CDG) and the National Association of Counties (NACo) recently announced the 18th annual Digital Counties Survey winners.
This year, the Digital Counties Survey Awards were held virtually and recognized leading jurisdictions in the use of advanced analytics, digital equity initiatives, and COVID-19 response.
"Innovative counties are using technology and data to better serve their citizens, respond quickly to citizen needs around COVID-19, and support digital experience initiatives, " said Phil Bertolini, co-director, CDG, in the award announcement.
Of the 52 exceptional winning counties, all but seven are Tyler clients. We applaud these counties demonstrating how to embrace cutting-edge approaches to strengthening communities, solving problems, and improving lives.
Los Angeles County, California, (1st Place, 1,000,000 or More) engaged in significant efforts to accelerate mobility goals to facilitate its newly created remote workforce. Pre-pandemic, Ventura County, California, (1st Place, 500,000-999,999) had already worked to consolidate its approach to IT security. This high-level approach helped the county meet the new work-from-home challenge. Chesterfield County, Virginia, (1st Place, 250-000-499,999) focused on controlling technical debt and modernizing hardware and software resources countywide. Arlington County, Virginia, (1st Place, 150,000-249,999) developed a master plan emphasizing mobility and telework, enabling the county to provide virtual court and board meeting rooms.
