Solving Crimes Using Data

Solving Crimes Using Data

Data can change the world. People can collect it, analyze it, and use it in many ways to solve problems. It allows them to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Data plays a huge role in helping public safety personnel solve crimes.

When law enforcement agencies have tools making data collection and sharing quick and simple, it helps solve and reduce crimes. For instance, one department was able to identify a body by using the victim’s tattoos. Another agency put a burglary suspect behind bars after connecting various incidents.

With access to data, this allows agencies to build community trust, make better decisions, and reduce crime.
