Maximize Generational Participation in Local Government
The fabric of communities is woven by people of various generations. From Gen Z to Baby Boomers, they are community members, homeowners, taxpayers, and voters just waiting to engage with and partake in local government … exciting, but how? With such varying attitudes, values, needs, and experiences — especially with technology — how can local government possibly cater to all?
In conjunction with The Center for Generational Kinetics (CGK), we’ve conducted research to answer this very question by illuminating misconceptions, truths, current attitudes, and what really matters to each generation when it concerns local government. We uncovered some not-so-surprising differences, as well as some unexpected similarities to help local governments engage each.
