Let’s Talk Govt. Performance Management
Governments throw around a lot of words when it comes to measuring performance, but what do they all mean and, more importantly, how can they have the intended impact?
In the February 2022 Performance Community of Practice, the city of Buffalo, city of Scottsdale, and Miami-Dade County joined Tyler Technologies host Melissa Bridges to explore how a high performing organization defines themselves and measures impact.
Buffalo Director of Open Data Kirk McLean explored the city’s work to enable and elevate the importance of data sharing across the organization. Access to data that doesn’t lose its efficacy is key to McLean who highlighted that data in spreadsheet “becomes static and as soon as it has become static, becomes stale.” The city of Buffalo strives for innovation, or as McLean call it “creativity implemented,” through their use of Tyler’s Enterprise Data Platform to engage and empower their stakeholders and residents.
