Training & Tools for Performance Management

Josh Edwards, assistant manager of Athens-Clarke County Unified Government, looks at performance management training development as a way to “get departments to the place where they can use data to make decisions.” In this Performance Community of Practice, Edwards and Iowa State Data Administrator Scott Vander Hart explored the performance management tools and training techniques that have helped their government and stakeholders. After the panel discussion, Vander Hart provided detailed information on how Iowa leverages different tools to reach a desired outcome including playbooks and robust data governance policies.
